Danette Cashman has a civil litigation practice with a focus on municipal liability and general insurance litigation. She has represented both municipalities and insurers in all aspects of general liability claims, including occupiers' liability, product liability, professional negligence, automobile insurance (including tort, accident benefits, priority disputes and loss transfer), general insurance coverage disputes, and subrogation. She graduated from the University of Kings College/Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Arts and, then, from the Faculty of Law at the Dalhousie University. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2002. She has been a member of The Advocates' Society, Toronto Lawyers Association, Canadian Bar Association, Canadian Defence Lawyers Association, The Medico-Legal Society and the Toronto Insurance Women's Association. She is a regular lecturer of insurance issues at the Insurance Institute of Canada.
