Rob joined the firm as Counsel in 2011. He is a registered trade-mark agent with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office, and provides advice on all aspects of intellectual property law, including licensing, brand protection, anticounterfeiting, Internet and domain name matters, IP portfolio management, copyright, and intellectual property related disputes and litigation.  Rob also provides advice on privacy and competition law matters.

Prior to attending law school, Rob worked as a computer programmer and technology consultant.  This background gives Rob a rare ability to understand and address the needs of tech clients on a fundamental level, and to translate technical issues into legal language.

Rob graduated from the law school at Queen's University and began his career with the Toronto office of a leading international law firm, focusing on intellectual property matters, including international anti-counterfeiting work and trade-mark litigation.  Rob also worked with the firm's antitrust group, providing advice on competition issues.
