After working for three years as an exploration geophysicist, Peter decided to change careers and was subsequently called to the Bar in Ontario in 1989.
Peter practices exclusively in the area of civil litigation with an emphasis on commercial matters. Peter has successfully defended and prosecuted legal proceedings before all court levels in Ontario. In addition, Peter has represented clients before numerous regulatory tribunals including the Ontario Securities Commission.
Peter's areas of expertise include construction lien matters, construction litigation, contract disputes, high-tech disputes, commercial arbitration, shareholder and partnership disputes, oppression remedies, derivative actions, injunctive relief of all kinds including Mareva and Anton Pillar injunctions, proxy fights, plans of arrangement, commercial landlord and tenant matters, real estate litigation, including mortgage enforcement and defence, professional negligence, creditors' rights, employment law (including wrongful dismissal for both employers and employees), fraud and estate litigation.
When not practicing law, Peter enjoys playing the guitar, scuba diving and Karate (black belt).
