Victor Turcanu (Articling 2021 - 2022)

Victor earned his JD at Osgoode Hall Law School and is joining Loopstra Nixon this year as an articling student.

While in law school, Victor was actively involved in a range of activities and societies, and also completed Osgoode’s Intensive Programme in Criminal Law. In addition to his work on legal matters throughout law school, Victor was the President of the Law Students’ Society of Ontario and represented the interests of over 4500 law students across the province. In his final year of law school, Victor oversaw Osgoode’s first-year mooting program as President of the Osgoode Mooting Society. He also represented Osgoode as a member of the Oxford Price Media Moot team at the moot’s international rounds in Oxford, UK.

Before law school, Victor obtained his Bachelor of Science (Kinesiology) from Dalhousie University, with distinction. Victor was also a nationally ranked sprint kayaker. In his spare time, Victor enjoys travelling and staying active. You will usually find him either cycling, running or doing some other form of high-intensity training.
