Althea Yip joins Loopstra Nixon’s Corporate & Commercial practice group following her call to the bar on June 26, 2017. Althea summered and articled at the firm, during which she was involved in corporate structuring, reorganizations, purchase and sale of businesses, and financings.
Althea holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences Degree from the University of Western Ontario, a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School (where she was a Conference Chair of the annual JD/MBA Conference and a research assistant to Prof. Mary Jane Mossman whom she assisted in the publication of a property law textbook) and a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business. Prior to completing her post-graduate studies, Althea worked as a legal assistant at two real estate law firms in Thornhill, Ontario.
In her spare time, Althea enjoys reading, trying out new restaurants, and tutoring high school and university students in English literature.
