Claire Copland (Articling 2021 - 2022)

Claire is articling with Loopstra Nixon LLP for the 2021-2022 term. She holds a JD from Osgoode Hall and an Honours Bachelor of Arts (with High Distinction) from the University of Toronto. Prior to attending Osgoode, Claire spent three years working in the Canadian music and copyright industry. 

Claire was involved in a variety of activities during law school. Most notably, she spent her 1L summer interning with a non-profit organization in Bangalore, India. She was also chosen to be a Dean’s Fellow for first year public law, and held other mentorship roles with the Osgoode Women’s Network and Orientation Week. Claire also competed in various competitive negotiation competitions, and represented Osgoode at the 2020 Walsh Family Law Negotiation Competition. 

Outside of the office, Claire enjoys a variety of sports and fitness activities, watching reality tv, and spending time with her dog.
