Zach Kroll (Articling 2021 - 2022)

Zach completed his law degree as well as his undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto. Prior to joining Loopstra Nixon LLP for his articles, he spent two summers working at a boutique litigation firm where he worked with a wide variety of clients, ranging from local businesses and individuals to professional regulators and airlines.

While at law school, among other extracurricular activities, Zach wrote for and co-directed the school’s annual theater production and participated in and coached the Callaghan Memorial Moot. He was also involved with several groups and committees promoting wellness and mental health initiatives on campus.

As an undergraduate, Zach studied commerce with a specialist in finance and economics, graduating with high distinction. He also attained a minor in English. While a student, Zach provided tutoring services to peers through U of T’s Economics Study Centre and served as a captain for the Rotman Commerce Case Competition Team.

Outside of the office, Zach enjoys reading and writing, and hopes to find time for further creative pursuits and studies in literature throughout his career. He occasionally performs standup comedy, with varying degrees of success. Having been a fan of the Toronto Raptors for over ten years, Zach believes that he has seen both the highest highs and lowest lows that basketball has to offer. On a good day, his own athletic abilities lie somewhere between the two extremes.
