Bio

Sarah is a litigator in the firm’s municipal liability and insurance defence group.

She represents municipalities, corporations, professionals, and insurers in various matters including commercial, occupiers’ liability, personal injury, property damage and Building Code disputes.  She regularly appears on behalf of clients before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Small Claims Court, and on mediations.

Aside from her litigation practice, Sarah also advises institutions regarding their obligations pursuant to the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, and has successfully represented clients on appeals to the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario.

Sarah is a Certified Information and Privacy Professional (CIPP/C), as recognized by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). This certification signifies her knowledge of Canadian privacy, data protection and access to information law.

Sarah is serving as Public Affairs Liaison for the Young Lawyers Division – Central Executive of the Ontario Bar Association during the 2023-2024 term and is a proud member of the firm’s internal EDI, Culture & Values Committee. She is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association, The Advocates’ Society, Canadian Defence Lawyers, the Toronto Lawyers’ Association, and Young Women in Law.
