Andy practices civil litigation with a primary focus on municipal liability and insurance defence. He has represented municipalities, private corporations and insurers before all levels of Court in Ontario. Andy has been with Loopstra Nixon since he articled with the firm in 2008. During his time with the firm, he has gained a high level of practical experience in all aspects of litigation, including Discoveries, Motions, Mediations, Trials and Appeals.
When he is not practicing law, Andy enjoys keeping active with golf, soccer or hockey.
Representative Client Work
- Represented municipalities and insurers in all aspects of general liability claims including claims under the Municipal Act, 2001, Occupiers’ Liability Act and the Insurance Act.
- Successfully defended a private corporation at trial and at the Court of Appeal in a negligent misrepresentation case.
