Sarah is a litigator in the firm’s municipal liability and insurance defence group. She represents municipalities, corporations and insurers in various matters including occupiers’ liability, personal injury, motor vehicle liability, environmental and product liability disputes.
After summering and articling with the firm, Sarah returned to Loopstra Nixon as an associate following her call to the Bar in 2020. She obtained her Juris Doctor (JD) from Queen’s University Faculty of Law, where she advocated for clients of the Queen’s Legal Aid Clinic. While at Queen’s, Sarah also served as an executive member of the Sustainability and Environmental Law Club and worked as an on-campus associate for a major legal research company. As part of her legal education, she earned a Certificate in Public International Law in 2017 after studying abroad at the Bader International Study Centre.
Sarah also holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Geography and Environmental Sciences from McMaster University, where she graduated with highest distinction.
She is a member of the Canadian Defence Lawyers, the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association and the Toronto Lawyers’ Association.
