Alessia is an associate in the firm’s Labour and Employment group, where she is developing her practice litigating and advising on a broad range of employment issues, including wrongful dismissals, breach of restrictive covenants, and Human Rights Code violations.
She has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court, the Ontario Small Claims Court, and on behalf of clients in a number of mediations.
Alessia returned to Loopstra Nixon following her Call to the Bar in 2021, after summering and articling with the firm.
Alessia obtained her J.D. from Queen’s University. During her time at Queen’s, Alessia was an executive member of various clubs including the Queen’s Law Cancer Society and Queen’s Law Sports and Entertainment Society, and was involved in student government.
Alessia also holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto, where she graduated with high distinction.
