Bio

Austin’s practice focuses primarily on municipal, land use planning and development law. Austin acts for a diverse range of public and private clients across Ontario, including municipalities, private corporations, developers, and individual homeowners.

Austin represents clients in a broad range of matters including development approvals, municipal governance, official plan and zoning by-law appeals, plans of subdivision and consents, minor variances, development charges matters, and freedom of information requests.

Austin received his J.D from the University of Toronto. Prior to law school, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in European Studies from the University of King's College. Austin joined Loopstra Nixon LLP as a summer student, articled at the firm, and has been practicing as a lawyer with the firm since his call to the bar.
