Christophe Shammas

Christophe has a broad litigation practice with an emphasis on construction litigation.

He acts for clients across the construction pyramid, including public and private owners, contractors and subcontractors and has represented his clients in a wide variety of complex disputes. Christophe has appeared as lead counsel at all levels of court in Ontario and has acted on behalf of clients in arbitrations and adjudications as well.

In addition to his litigation practice, Christophe regularly advises clients during the procurement and negotiation of project agreements and is often asked to jump into distressed projects to help resolve complex legal and technical issues.

Christophe regularly presents to lawyers and the construction industry on issues relating to the Construction Act, dispute resolution and procurement processes. He has been ranked by his peers in Best Lawyers “Ones to Watch” in the area of Corporate and Commercial Litigation for two years in a row (2024 and 2025).

When he is not advocating on behalf of his clients or helping them navigate complex situations, Christophe can be found watching sports, playing golf or reading books about history.
