Bio
Kiren is an associate in the firm’s Construction and Commercial Litigation group, where she maintains a robust advocacy practice. She advises clients on a wide array of complex matters, including shareholder disputes, land and real property litigation, construction liens, financial fraud matters and breach of contract claims.
Kiren has successfully appeared before the Small Claims Court, the Superior Court of Justice, and the Court of Appeal for Ontario. Notably, she was part of the counsel team in West Whitby Landowners Group Inc. v. Elexicon Energy Inc. (2024 ONCA 910), a significant decision that recalibrated the analytical framework governing applications for leave to appeal from the Divisional Court.
A "homegrown" talent, Kiren returned to Loopstra Nixon following her Call to the Bar in 2022 after completing her articles with the firm. She earned her LL.B with Distinction from City, University of London, where she was a prominent mooting advocate. She also holds an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Management and Organizational Skills from Western University, providing her with a strategic business perspective on every file.
In her free time Kiren enjoys board games, true crime and travelling.
