Michael Otto Adds Depth to LN's Canada-US Practice

July 13, 2016, Albany N.Y. - Loopstra Nixon is pleased to announce that Michael Otto has been admitted to practice in the United States as a Attorney and Counselor-at-Law in the State of New York.

The admissions ceremony occurred today in Albany, N.Y., the home of the New York State Court of Appeal.

Michael has been a lawyer in the Corporate & Commercial law group since 2012 and has been instrumental in building the firm's Canada-US Cross Border Practice.  His practice focuses on planning, structuring and executing significant transactions such as the acquisition and sale of businesses, buy-outs, estate freezes and tax-driven reorganizations. He has particular experience with cross-border work and has advised both Canadian and American companies in respect of deals on both sides of the border.

Michael's transaction experience includes work at all stages of a deal from the negotiation and drafting of letters of intent and purchase agreements to the efficient management of due diligence and closing matters.

LN's Canada-US Cross Border Practice regularly assists Canadian and U.S. clients in respect of matters on both sides of the border. The group works closely with LN's affiliated Law Exchange International member firms in the United States and around the world.
